Hunting, armed vehicles, and an in-game field guide

Another big drop of new systems for DEADCLAIM. Here's what just went in.

Hunting & trapping

The frontier is alive. Deer, moose, bear, boar, wolves, and smaller game now roam, graze, and bolt when spooked. Stalk your prey for a clean kill, follow blood trails to track the wounded, then skin and butcher your catch for hides and meat — your shot placement decides how good the hide comes out. A new Trapper vendor buys your haul, posts hunting contracts, sells baited traps, and mounts your trophies. Three new skills back it all up: Hunting, Tracking, and Skinning.

Vehicle weapons

Every combat vehicle is now armed. The Technical gets a reworked gun, the APC a heavy autocannon, and the battle tank a real cannon with a zoomed gunsight and explosive splash. There's a brand-new attack helicopter with a chin gun and rocket pods, and the headliner: a rocket truck that calls in top-down artillery — mark a target and a salvo screams in moments later, so listen for the incoming whistle. Each weapon has its own gunner HUD.

An in-game field guide

Press O — or open it from the Tab menu — for a searchable, cross-linked guide to every system in the game, from extraction and health to hunting and the drug trade. 72 entries and growing, and the world keeps running while you read, so you can look something up mid-raid.

Connect your Discord

You can now link your account to Discord right from the in-game Settings menu. Once connected, you'll get roles synced to your in-game skills and direct-message alerts for the things you care about.

Graphics & quality of life

  • New grass-quality setting to dial visuals in for your rig.
  • Animals no longer show on the minimap — if you want them, you'll have to track them.
